Grant Stephens Family Law was established by Grant Stephens in July 2013 to provide specialised family law services to Cardiff and South Wales.

The firm has rapidly grown in the last 12 years, now serving more clients in Cardiff, Swansea and the rest of the UK than we have ever before.

The firm now host one of the largest dedicated family law teams in Wales, with a range of family law specialists, including four directors – Grant Stephens, Lisa Evans, Matthew Wells, and Nia Thomas, three solicitors – Bethany Davies, Nel Roberts and Lowri Walters, one trainee solicitor – Evie Bignell and one Associate paralegal – Alex Lowe.

Grant Stephens Family Law is an award winning firm and has been recognised in both the Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Firm’ from 2022 until 2024 and as a ‘Top Tier Firm’ since 2025. Our firm has also been ranked as a Band 2 firm by Chambers and Partners in the 2025 and 2026 guides. Grant Stephens Family Law specialises in court alternative options, encouraging all of our clients to explore these options before looking to court to resolve their family law issues. Every solicitor at our firm is a member of Resolution, adhering to the Resolution Code of Practice. As a result of this, our firm was awarded the rare title of ‘Resolution Family Team’. We are one of the only firms in Wales to have been given this title, clearly demonstrating our commitment to court alternatives.
