Extremely Disappointing Experience with Perduco Law
1.0

If I could give Perduco Law zero stars or a negative rating, I absolutely would. I strongly advise avoiding this firm at all costs, as they do not operate with the professionalism or competence one would expect from a reputable legal practice. Below, I outline my frustrating experience with their team, particularly focusing on their unprofessionalism and the difficulties I encountered when attempting to obtain a refund. Background: After a difficult separation from an individual who displayed narcissistic tendencies and was untruthful throughout the process, I received a Child Arrangement Order from her solicitor. I disagreed with the terms of the order and sought mediation, which she refused. This left me with no choice but to instruct my own legal representation. After conducting some research, I decided to hire Perduco Law. Unfortunately, this was a decision I quickly regretted. Here are the key issues I faced during the course of my engagement with them: 1. Frequent Changes in Representation: Over the course of my case, my file was handed over to four different solicitors. The handovers were rushed and incomplete, leading me to repeatedly remind them of important details, such as my children’s dates of birth and other essential information. 2. Lack of Senior Representation: After expressing my dissatisfaction with the first DRA hearing, I was assured that I would be assigned a senior solicitor at no additional cost. However, this solicitor was soon no longer available, and my case was passed to another solicitor who did not meet the standard I had been promised. 3. Errors and Lack of Attention to Detail: 1 encountered numerous errors in my witness/position statements, and I had to review my entire case with the new solicitor to bring them up to speed. 4. Poor Communication and Delays: It became apparent that the solicitors handling my case were either unqualified or unable to manage it properly. I was often told that I would receive a call back or an email, but these promises were rarely fulfilled, leading to significant delays in communication. 5. Unexpected Issues with Barristers: After finally being assigned a solicitor who appeared to be more competent, I selected an expensive barrister due to the complexity of my case and paid Perduco Law directly to secure their services. However, just days before the hearing, I was informed that there had been a falling out with the barrister’s chambers, and my chosen barrister was no longer available. This was a huge disappointment, and further investigation revealed concerning information about the nature of the dispute between Perduco Law and the chambers. 6. Last-Minute Barrister Change: I was given the option of a last-minute replacement barrister who, unfortunately, was far less experienced and significantly cheaper than the original barrister I had paid for. This meant I was entitled to a refund of £2,200. Refund Issues: The case was heard on 13th November 2024, and I was told by Perduco Law that once they received the invoice from the barrister, my refund would be processed. However, I had already received the invoice myself. I was then informed that the refund would be processed by 15th January 2025. Given the upcoming festive period, I requested an earlier processing date but received no response. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I was unable to get any clear answers. As I was planning to go abroad on 3rd February 2025, I reiterated the importance of receiving my refund in a timely manner. Yet, 15th January passed without any action. Finally, I was able to contact someone in the accounts department, only after persistent follow-up. As a last resort, I filed a small claims case against Perduco Law, which finally prompted a response. I was met with an aggressive email from the managing director accusing me of harassment, despite my attempts to resolve the matter amicably. On 31st January 2025, I finally received my refund. Once the funds were deposited, I promptly closed the small claims case. Unprofessional Follow-Up: To my surprise, on 26th March 2025, I received an email from Perduco Law’s accounts department asking why I had filed a county court claim despite having received the refund. The tone of the email felt somewhat threatening, and they demanded that I confirm I had discontinued the claim, stating that they might apply to strike it out and charge me for costs. I responded promptly, providing proof that I had settled and closed the case on 31st January 2025. I also requested confirmation of receipt of my response, but I received no further communication. Perduco Law, I encourge you to think very carefully on how you respond to this. I will within the law of GDPR share proof that I have. So an apology as this stage would be nice. This firm is a SCAM
1.0

This firm is a SCAM. The MD Peter Pearcy extorts money from clients, creates fraudulent credit agreements in the clients’ names. All his attorneys are based in South Africa, and he has unregistered barristers who represent his clients in court. Clients are treated like absolute trash and the ethics of the company are non existent.

The below is copied from your website
1.0

The below is copied from your website! This is very misleading information as I was under the impression the fixed fee of over 2.5k was for my case to be dealt with however this was a fee for my first court date only. To then be told I would need to be pay another fee of over 3.7k for the next court date. Which was an extremely unexpected fee and therefore I will now have to find a company that will provide services without misleading expenses. We work on a fixed fee billing model not on hourly rates At Perduco Law, we charge our clients a one time fixed fee, which clients can spread over 12 months interests free. This enables our clients to know exactly what they are going to pay and what they are paying for from onset of their case, get rid off the stage. This guarantees that you will not waste legal fees with no good outcomes, as it happens with traditional hourly rates firms. View our fees

Very bad experience with this firm
1.0

I have had to rewrite this review again as perduco told trustpilot to take it down along with a few other 1 star reviews from other people that have been taken down. I’ve waited a few months before writing this review but now as I have taken it up with the Ombudsman.I will say this company should in no way be trusted.from the moment I got the consultation call from connor i was told it would cost £4500 but for him or any senior to take the case it would cost around the £6500 mark.i accepted connor who was a senior to take the case on and paid extra.within a couple weeks after I paid I was told to pay another £3500 and a junior took over the case.i asked connor for a record of the telephone conversation within the 30 days and was told there is no recording.then I was given another solicitor after a couple of months so nothing had been done and I had already been through 3 of their solicitors.when I made a complaint a woman who apparently owns the firm named tulshi said for me to be rest assured as she is taking on my case fully.2 weeks later apparently she fell ill and I was passed on again to another junior.by now I had paid over 20k in fees.i was then told I need to pay another £9900 for my barrister to represent me at the royal courts of justice.they already owed me £7800 which they took out of my bank account without my consent and after 15 plus emails of them promising me the money was going back into my account I was being led on.(see other reviews of similar situations, and now i have sent trustpilot the proof of the emails) michael bullgozi who was head of accounts and was always reluctant to talk to me was always coming up with excuses on returning my money.all of a sudden michael moved to another firm and a new accounts person who’s name was also michael and sounded exactly like the michael bullgozi (i think bullgozi was his surname) and refused to give me his full name.even after them owing me my money back they went and took another £5400 from my account so now I have paid around 40k in fees.the money i want back is the £6000 plus vat for the barrister fees who was meant to represent me at the royal courts of justice but I made an out of court settlement 2 months before the court date and I also want part of the £5400 extra they took out.if.i wish I read the reviews before hand.the only plus side was that michaela and dominique are very proffesional and on point and I don’t have anything bad to say about them.my case is still going on but now i am dealing with it by myself.i have contacted accounts for the last month and they have not bothered to respond.i have tried to resolve this matter for 1 year now with no luck.also don’t try going to their London address in cheapside as It don’t even exist.

Don't use these solicitors
1.0

Don’t use these solicitors. They take your money and then when you are close to results they charge more to move forward. I spent 2,400 pound on the basic package, it had email between parties, cafcas interviews and court application. All I got was emails between parties they could not even tell me how my money was spent. After they asked me for another grand for the complete court application they couldn’t even show me the work they had completed before I sent more money over. Con artists taking advantage of vulnerable people in vulnerable states. Calculating the 2,400 into hours of work you might aswell get a real solicitor and pay hourly. What they did for me could of been done in less than a day. On top of all this I wasn’t even getting advice from a solicitor it is was a scribe who knew basics, advice she gave me was baseless and easily attain able from somewhere like citizen advice.

Just had an email from Peter the MD
1.0

Just had an email from Peter the MD. Claiming that they can not pay the outstanding £4200 plus credit card interest that they owe me. As they are waiting to get it back from their creditor, Strip. But on my bank statement it states that the money was taken by Perduco law. Not a third party. And I have a copy of my statement for Perduco to look at. But Peter the MD and Michael from accounts are choosing to ignore me. So I will be going to the omnibus of law companies. As this is really not the correct behaviour from a respected company.

Perduco law wrongly took £4200 from me…
1.0

Perduco law wrongly took £4200 from me in October 2023. They have acknowledged and accepted that they owe me the money plus the interest as this was taken from my credit card. They have still not repaid the money that is owed to me. Although Micheal from accounts and Peter Pearcy have both received emails from me and have replied that I will be paid , this has still not happened. I will now be seeking legal advice and taking legal action to retrieve my money as I am now being totally ignored. AVOID FROM USING THIS COMPANY. From Lee Maunton

Awful Company
1.0

Awful company – a friend is owed significant funds that was incorrectly taken from his credit card. There are emails saying the refund is on its was but it is a year now – this law company was little help in the initial work they did anyways and then to have further funds taken by mistake (Perduco Laws mistake) was insulting. Employing professionals is meant to help in a bad situation not make a situation worse and add a whole set of other issues and worries! Personal emails from Peter Pearcy – Managing Director of Perduco Law confirms the refund will be paid but to date nothing has arrived and chasing emails being ignored – Avoid any dealings with Perduco Law as you could be adding to your list of woes!

Not the best experiance for sure
1.0

In my opinion I felt that my case was not handled as efficiently as expected from a legal perspective and certainly not in a way that benefited me.There were multiple changes in my legal representation, with three diffrent solicitors assigned to my case within a year, and the last change occurring just one week before my final hearing. This led to a felling of poor management throughout the service, which I belive impacted my credibility and was reflected in the final settlement. In hindsight, I regret choosing this legal firm. From my experience, the service certainly did not meet my expectations. Date of experience: 28 May 2024

Avoid
1.0

During the first hearing the service was great. Elona and Judith were knowledgeable and supportive throughout. It all went downhill during the next hearing after finding out they had left. The director Peter sold me with false promises to get my business again. He claimed he knew so much about the process and advised me incorrectly. When I voiced my concerns with my solicitor he then claimed he is not legally qualified so doesnt understand, he sure had a lot of legal advice though in the 1st call when trying to get me to pay the fee. My new solicitor was no where near as knowledgeable, failed to answer basic questions and disappeared with no follow up after the 2nd hearing. The fixed fee also is a con as they barely do any work and when you call you can’t even get through to who you need. Would avoid. Date of experience: 05 March 2024

Perduco have been…
1.0

Perduco have been handling my case since the 1st hearing and have been awful. You can’t get through to anyone on the phone, nobody gets back to you yet they are quick to chase you for your money hours after your hearing has finished for their next payment. That is the most you will hear from them. I had no updates on my case was not provided sufficient paperwork without chasing and was less than impressed with any contact I had with my new solicitor. Only good people I had the pleasure of dealing with was Judith and Elona who were great unfortunately they have both left which is not surprising.

Don’t use them please

My divorce has been pending since November 2022. No form of communication whatsoever from one of their team called Ekim Erbas. I’ve been promised a return call for more than 10 times, they never replied emails, I got replies when I was yet to balance up their fees then all went mute after payment. Don’t use them please. They only care about their money, they’ll gost you after you’ve paid Case reference number: 1668-5075-9952-2229

WARNING: Perduco will take money without permission and not refund you. At no point did I agree to services and they have managed to take £2k out of my bank. Naturally a very stressful process with limited communication on their front
